SIGNALS: Jean-Sebastien Truchy

Soundtoys is teaming up with Burlington, VT-based musician/curator Greg Davis to present the SIGNALS experimental music series. The first show will be on Saturday, October 29, 2016, and will feature Montreal-based musician Jean-Sebastien Truchy and visual artist Guillaume Vallée. The SIGNALS series is FREE to attend, but RSVP is required.

The Signals series will focus on bringing abstract / experimental / electronic / improvisational / technology-focused musicians to Burlington, VT, where this kind of art is not widely represented. The performances will each be followed by a short discussion and Q&A where the audience has the opportunity to engage with the performer(s).

Jean-Sébastien Truchy has performed in Montreal since 1996. JS Truchy creates music characterized by the use of electronic instruments and vocals both sung and processed. The result is a sort of organized chaos of texture filled with beauty and fulfillment. In the fall of 2016, he released his first solo record on Root Strata.
