Electronic Musician raves for SoundToys Native Effects V3

All in all, with SoundToys Native Effects you have a ridiculous amount of control over six excellent-sounding plug-ins. I especially love the fact that you can get cool sounds with minimal hassle, but if youre willing to put in the time you can get ultra-deep into the nitty gritty. The street price of around $400 would arguably be a fair price for EchoBoy alone, but add in five other killer effects and this is truly one screaming deal.

Remix Loves EchoBoy.

Any veteran engineer will tell you that delays are often best if the echo part doesn't sound exactly like the dry signal. It is here that EchoBoy strikes gold, with its attention turned to being modernly retro rather than just another digital delay. Its power, of course, lies in being able to mix and match echo styles with echo modes, creating everything from the real to the surreal. The SoundToys coders may come from an audiophile background, creating the legendary H3000 and DSP4000 when they worked at Eventide, but EchoBoy sheds that nicey-nice forensic appeal and carves a beautiful new niche for itself as a decidedly funky remixing tool filled with organically rich, lush echoes and attitude to spare.

Rich Tozzoli on EchoBoy

So far, I've used it on drum loops, percussion grooves, a vintage fender Rhodes, an Oberheim OB-8, and vocals, and it truly shined on electric guitar parts. All parameters are automate-able except for the sub menus - which supposedly will be available in the near future. Overall, it's become my first reach echo/delay. The only negative is that it uses up a full chip per stereo instance. However, I use this plug-in so much now that it's unquestionably worth the power requirements. It's so diverse in its applications, that sometimes I've got three or four in a session - in a session - in a session - in a session. Echoboy rocks, plain and simple.
